Sneak Previews show (1982) - Blade Runner review
This is just one in a line of bad critics that Blade Runner recived at a time. Although constantly attacked by ‘the intelectual elite’, film recieved defenders very early that confronted publicly formed oppinion about Blade Runner. One of the examples is letter to People Magazine based on their review, sent on August 22, 1982, by J.P. Byrd that goes:
“Your review of Blade Runner was unfair to both director and the actors. Harrison Ford gave his character depth and intelligence, two qualities your reviewer missed. Blade Runner will no doubt end up as a cult movie. Its one error was to present too much for the average viewer. I’m not the only one in this town who saw the movie six times and noticed new things each time. It was rich in detail and ewcitement and long on drama and message.” (from the book Future Noir - The Making of Blade Runner)
