Cityspeak, BR Fanzine, December 1982
“…Meanwhile, things were stirring on the print’s world grassroots level. In december 1982, a young woman named Sara Campbell, published the first Blade Runner fanzine. This homegrown publication was titled Cityspeak. It contained articles, short stories, essays, poems, and letters of comment, all exclusively devoted to Blade Runner. Cityspeak was eagerly snapped up by core members of the nascent of Blade Runner cult, and the first BR ‘zine would continue to appear for two more issues until Cityspeak editor, Sara Campbell’s untimely death, at age twenty-six, in 1985.”
